A Healthy July 4th Dessert

Fruit Skewer Flag

Approximately 3 g of sugar per skewer. 

  • 11 12-inch skewers
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 half-pint raspberries
  • 2 bananas, halved lengthwise and cut into half-moons

On each of 5 skewers, thread 7 blueberries, then alternate 3 raspberries and 2 banana pieces. Using the remaining 6 skewers, thread 5 raspberries and 4 banana pieces, alternating between the two and starting and ending with raspberries. Arrange skewers on a platter to form an American flag.
